The Giving Tree

This is an homage to the great mother tree. This painting was influenced by one of my favorite painters, Klimt and the tree of life.  Many religions, belief systems, and mythologies believe the tree stands as a symbol of knowledge, because it is the connector of the heavens and the underworld. Perhaps the central tenet of the Tree of Life is the idea that all life on Earth is interconnected, and the mother is protector of all. May this painting inspire with you a sense of enlightenment. Root down, breath in, & let your branches grow strong. Notice the hearts in between the branches- Love really is the answer to human problems: love of oneself, love of others, love of where one is, love of what one is doing, love of nature, love of life.
