This painting was inspired by the artist Klimt and speaks to the meaning of family.
It’s a portrait of my own—mother, daughter, husband, and son—woven together as one. The feeling I wanted to capture comes from the phrase “Not for all the tea in China,” meaning: no amount of money or riches in the world could ever replace the life I have or the people I love.
That old saying, which originated in Australia, alludes to the vastness of China’s tea—yet even that abundance doesn't compare to the priceless gift of family.
This painting is a celebration of that kind of love—deep, enduring, and far more valuable than anything money could ever buy.
