The streets glow with anticipation, waiting for the people getting ready to embrace the evening,
But you feel like you are the only two in the world. Holding each other tight- you dream of the future; knowing this is just the beginning of a night to remember.

Shapes and colors collide, light up and sparkle the sky
The buildings move their bulky masses in the dark
Peeping light through winking windows- they shimmer

The deep blue sky sings a lullaby to the night …
and the night whispers its hello to streets full of light

Close your eyes a little – just enough to take in
the wonderful magic the night blesses us with~

Feel the color and the excitement! San Diego is ALIVE! The nucleus of San Diego is the famous Gaslamp District, where the streets guide you forward, alive with energy. Swimming with restaurants and people ready to embrace the night, the old gaslamps flicker and dance revealing their illumination.

A child is born. A journey begins. I created this painting to embrace the child in all of us; to celebrate children everywhere, young and old; and, to capture a colorful snapshot of our incredible journey called Life. The buildings represent the many places we will live and travel to in our lifetimes - a new window to the world. The musician with his guitar sings softly, radiantly after all, what would the world be without music and art? And we see the children riding that challenging tightrope of life. As they move up the ladder, they know better than us all that it takes giving each other a hand to reach the top. Their world is filled with birds carrying the message of peace as children everywhere spread seeds of change that will surely fertilize the world with love. Each child deserves a chance to climb this ladder called Life. Every child deserves a life filled with laughter, learning, and love.
