The naturalist beholds our strong inner selves; wild as a child and carefree. Connected to every living thing, every person every plant, every part of nature- and she feels her soul is as free as the leaves blowing from the trees.

This woman captured in simple complete inner peace and self awareness. Her soul is shining. Simply within herself -a meditative moment. Rarely do we as people stop and think about the amazement of life and how lucky we are to be a part of it and experience it.
This woman beholds a deep inner peace and tranquility. This strength guides her through times of change, a test of courage and ability to look beyond. She is reflective in a moment of self- awareness. This love and wisdom from within defines her as a woman- strong and true.
A woman tenderly holds an orchid, her favorite flower- Captivated by its beauty and strength, knowing they take great care and patience to receive their beautiful blooms. She realizes she also is like an orchid- strong, resilient, fickle- yet beautiful.
Sometimes people's moods remind me of the weather- constantly in motion. Sometimes the sun can help warm our hearts and put us in a happy state of mind, or rainy cloudy weather can make us feel stormy inside. There's always a different forecast This woman is feeling peaceful and sunny, but her hair blowing like the breeze may mean a change of weather soon.
The feeling that was evoked when I painted 'Woman Thinking' was that of a woman captured in simple complete inner peace and self awareness. Simply within herself -a meditative moment. Rarely do we as people stop and think about the amazement of life and how lucky we are to be a part of it and experience it.
As she leans against the door holding an orchid, This woman is once again faced with doors of opportunity. The door represents change, should you open and accept it. The orchid represents strength, courage, and beauty. This woman is feeling a mix of emotions~ Half her face reveals she is contemplative and sad because is leaving the past behind, the other half her face shows she is eager and optimistic, ready to embrace her dreams for the future. The orchid not fully opened yet, is the change-taking place, slowly blossoming into a bright new beginning.
The woman in this painting is leaning against a door, holding an orchid. The door represents change, should you open and accept it. Maybe it's branching out to find your dream job, or moving to that place you've always wanted to live, or ending something that wasn't meant to be. The woman is leaving the past behind, to embrace her dreams for the future. The orchid not fully opened yet, is the change-taking place, slowly blossoming into a bright new beginning.
A woman holding an orchid, sweet memories fill her mind and hold her heart. Those precious memories of the past should we hold onto forever, like snapshots frozen in our minds throughout the fast whirlwind of time.
Life takes us on a magnificent rollercoaster ride- but it moves so fast we forget to stop and appreciate the little things in existence. Let us let go, and relax for a moment and we might find happiness in the littlest things- such as taking tender care of a beautiful flower.
She finds in her heart, a simple truth to be told, That we are each born with a beautiful body and soul,
to embrace and love, just the way that they are. Her Orchid signifies pure nature- honest, and true,
the way this woman was brought into this world and as you were too.

Growing up as a child who loves horses, I always imagined riding away into the sunset whenever I needed comforting or an escape from the difficulties of being a kid. I sometimes still think back to those simple escapes - riding away into the setting sun and rising moon - free as a child may be.
Throughout life we are faced with choices, and each choice must be decided upon. Some choices may be based on intuition; a choice based purely on feeling and insight. Others are made by logic and reasoning. One choice could take you down a daring, and adventurous path, the other could keep you grounded, safe and secure. Is there only one correct path, or are we offered multiple chances to choose correctly? Each choice offers a new door to unlock with the next chapter of our lives.
This woman is deep in thought and concentration, the goal to becoming one with herself. She is contemplating the beauty of life, her spirituality and the power she beholds as a woman.
